The Sunvitational is proud to be partnered with Summit Debate - home of the National Debate Forum (LD, PF, Congress), National Speakers’ Forum (Interp, Oratory, Extemp), Interprod (Interp), EXL (Extemp), and Lyceum (Oratory).  This year the following scholarships (non-transferable) will be given out to any students who are not seniors:

For all speech events the Champion will receive $750, Runner-Up will receive $500, third place will receive $250 and fourth through sixth places will receive $100 if they are not seniors.  In any debate event the Champion will receive a $750 scholarship.  The Runner-Up will receive $500, semifinalists will receive $250 and quarter-finalists will receive $100.

Summit Debate will also hold drawings for scholarships!  Students during the tournament can fill out raffle tickets for a chance to win scholarships ranging from $100 to full tuition scholarships that are non-transferable.  Students who win multiple scholarships will only be eligible for full tuition and nothing exceeding that amount.

The institutes under Summit Debate are the finest in the country with national champion coaches!  You can attend some of their programs right here in Fort Lauderdale!  Not only does the National Debate Forum and National Speakers’ Forum take place in South Florida — it’s a cheaper option than other competition.  You can visit www.summitdebate.com for information about each of the programs.
